The Minnesota Department of Health requires all public water systems to document their water service materials and identify if homes have lead pipes. Brooklyn Park’s water system likely does not contain lead piping, but we need your help to verify.
Learn more about this initiative, and your role in it, on our online portal. More information about this work will be added in the future.

Do-it-yourself inspection
You can help the City meet this mandatory requirement by doing a quick inspection and submitting information using our easy online form. By submitting this information, the City does not need to arrange an inspection to come into your home, saving you time and money and reducing any disruption to your home.
If you’re unable to complete the inspection yourself, contact Brooklyn Park’s Operations & Maintenance team at 763-493-8099 to schedule an in-home inspection.

What if my water service is lead?
It is unlikely that any Brooklyn Park homes have lead water service. However, if you believe your home does, contact the City to arrange an inspection. If we confirm your water service is lead, we will provide information and resources for lead replacement.
