1. Walk-In

Vehicle tab renewals, Game and Fishing Licenses and DNR tab renewals

2. Use our Drop Box

The Drop Box is located in the parking lot outside Brooklyn Park City Hall. It is the same drop box used for Utility Bill Payments.

Renewal notices and payments left in the Drop Box will be processed and available for pick up next business day between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the DMV office.

• This service is available for current Minnesota Residents and only for tabs
• This option is not available for Dealers
• No cash accepted in the Drop Box

Instructions for Drop Box Renewal

• Renewal bill from the state (include both top and bottom halves)
  • If you do not have a renewal notice, please fill out the Vehicle Registration Authorization Form
• Insurance company name, policy number, and full expiration date (MM/DD/YYYY).
• Check, Cashier’s Check or Money Order, payable to City of Brooklyn Park.
• Phone number and driver’s license number on the check.

Verify address and Minnesota County on your registration renewal notice. If no changes are noted on the renewal notice, it is assumed that all information is correct and accurate for processing.

The Deputy Registrar reserves the right to not process tab renewals if information is missing, incorrect or incomplete.

Payment options

We accept the following forms of payment.

• Cash
• Checks made payable to the “City of Brooklyn Park”
• No Counter/Starter, out of state or second party checks
• Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover (2.49% convenience fee)
