Report an issue
Residents can report down trees, limbs, and other tree issues on city-owned property.
Spring Tree Sale

The city hosts an annual tree sale in the spring where residents can purchase trees for their property at a reduced cost. Residents are responsible for picking up and planting their trees. The trees offered are bare root, so they are inexpensive and easy to move. More information for the sale is usually posted in March for the upcoming sale.
Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)

The City of Brooklyn Park treats many public ash trees on city owned property. Many of the public ash trees being treated are in boulevard right-of-ways. The right-of-way distance varies throughout the city. Boulevard tree status is determined by measuring from the back of the curb to the tree. If this distance is within the boulevard right-of-way, the tree is considered a boulevard tree.
Ash trees growing within boulevards are considered public trees and, if they are of good quality, will be treated every 2 years to protect them from EAB. If the condition of the boulevard ash tree worsens, the tree will be removed at no cost to the resident.
Ash trees not within the boulevard right-of-way, are considered on private property and are the responsibility of the property owner.
