Stories from the Porch

Reading of children’s stories start at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. each Tuesday.  Bring your chairs or picnic blankets, listen to children stories read aloud, then enjoy time playing on the grounds. Watch our Facebook page to see what story will be read. Videos of the readings will be posted on our Facebook page by the next day.  In case of inclement weather, story time will be canceled. (Bring your own picnic lunch or dinner to enjoy while the story is read!

Luminary Snowshoe Walk

Explore the farm at night on snowshoes under the full moon! Walk the back loop and warm up by the campfire with hot chocolate and s’mores. This is a pre-registration event, limited quantities of snowshoes are provided. Feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Snow Days at the Farm

Come out to the farm for some wintery fun! The grounds will be open to explore and use for winter activities. Try out our kick sleds and snowshoes, build a snow fort, bring your own winter fun activities, or sit by the campfire!

*Snowshoes are available to use, there are limited quantities of adult and child sizes. They will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Photography Permit

Photographers, whether you’re bringing clients or just want a fun place to take photos, take advantage of this new opportunity to use Historic Eidem Farm as a photo location.  Our site offers a mixture of background elements such as an old barn and farmhouse with porch, flower gardens, open fields, and trees.  *Pre-registration required.

Our Victorian house, barn, open field, and flower gardens make great backdrops for family photos, senior portraits, engagement photos, or other photo opportunities.

*All photographers are required to request a permit at least two weeks in advance of shoot. Annual permit: $25 per photographer per calendar year; purchase photography here.
