Homestead applies to properties occupied as primary residences. Homesteading may reduced the property’s classification rate or taxable market value or may qualify you for a property tax refund or a special program.

After you purchase your home, complete the online application at You will also be required to provide a copy of your deed and Certificate of Real Estate Value from closing. Social Security numbers are required for all owners and their spouses.
