Due to construction at the Zanewood Recreation Center, teen programming is on hold. We will have programming starting again shortly. Drop-in programming is on hold until the new Teen Center is open but we will be running our Chess Club, Art Plug, Aura Beauty, Debate Club, Girls Group, and open gym. Zanewood offers an exciting year-round experience for teens!
In addition, Teen Zone features a Young Men’s Group, a Young Women’s Group, and hands-on workshops such as sewing, tufting, and jewelry making. Whether your teen is interested in sports, leadership, creativity, or just connecting with peers in a positive environment, Teen Zone has something for everyone. Join us for a safe, fun, and welcoming space to explore, grow, and thrive!
The Teen Zone at the Zanewood Recreation Center is a free drop-in program designed to engage, inspire, and empower youth in grades 6–12. Teens can participate in a wide variety of enriching activities including Chess Club, Debate Club, Open Gym with basketball and volleyball, The Art Plug (creative art sessions), and Aura Beauty (a self-care and wellness series) programs.

Open to all teens entering 6th–12th grade in Fall 2025.
This is a drop-in program with no long-term commitment required. Teens can come when it works for them!

No registration fees – all activities are free and open to youth who drop in.
Registration
For many of our drop in programming, no registration is required. Just stop by during program hours and check in with our staff!
However, you can register ahead of time to save your spot and help us get an accurate head count for our programming.
