2024 Elections
The City of Brooklyn Park is administering three elections in 2024:
- Tuesday, August 13, Primary
- Tuesday, November 5, General
Absentee Voting
The in-person and mail-in absentee voting options are available for elections. Details for voting absentee, applying for a ballot, and mailing instructions can be found on our Voting page. The absentee voting periods for each election are as follows:
- March 5, Presidential Nomination Primary
Absentee voting period is from January 19 – March 4, 2024 - August 13, Primary Election
Absentee voting period for the is from June 28 – August 12 - November 5, General Election
Absentee voting period is from September 20 – November 4- Note new required Absentee voting hours for the November General Election:
- 2nd Saturday before November 5 General Election: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday before November 5 General Election: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday before November 5 General Election: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Note new required Absentee voting hours for the November General Election:
Voting In Person
- Vote at City Hall, 5200 85th Ave. N. during business hours, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- On Saturday before each election, voting hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- On Monday before each election, voting hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Apply for an Absentee Ballot
- You can apply for an Absentee Ballot by:
- Once completed and signed, return your absentee ballot application as soon as possible to Hennepin County by:
- Mailing to the Hennepin County Elections Government Center

- Pick up an application at City Hall or download from the city’s website.
