Summer team fees:

  • Doubleheader leagues: $850 (tax included) for 20 games plus playoff games

Fall team fees:

  • Doubleheader leagues: $455 (tax included) for 10 games

Teams must pay in full at the time of registration.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy

Full refunds will be processed if the league your team is registered for is canceled by the Recreation and Parks department due to lack of teams. 

Pro-rated refunds will be processed if scheduled games are canceled and make up dates are not available due to unavailable facilities. 

Teams will receive a full refund less a $30 administrative fee if your team withdraws at least 2 weeks before the start of play. 

Refunds will not be processed if your team withdraws less than 2 weeks before the start of play or if your team is removed from the league due to disciplinary action.

League Rules

League Equipment

Legal softballs: Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks will provide each team with a supply of game balls as part of the league registration fee. Teams will receive their softballs at the start of the season. Each team will be responsible to ensure games balls are provided for each game. Balls do not need to be new, but clearly defined as a legal ball. Legal balls must be optic yellow in color and follow the USSSA guidelines listed below for each gender. 

When a male is batting – 12-inch blue stitched Classic M ball 

When a female is batting – 11-inch blue stitched Classic W ball 

Legal bats: Bats will be legal for USSSA sanctioned play only if the bat is manufactured by an approved USSSA bat manufacturer on the USSSA approved bat manufacturer list and has the 2020 USSSA Certification Mark.

The previous 2014 USSSA Certification Mark as of January 1, 2023, is ineligible for USSSA Sanctioned events, but is eligible for use in USSSA league play (pictured in our rule book). Brooklyn Park and its umpires will allow the 2014 USSSA Certification Mark in league play.

League Classifications and Sanctioning

We continue to sanction teams with USSSA at C, D & E levels.

Silver Leagues

Intended for recreational teams who desire a moderately competitive, softball experience.

League sanctioning: All Brooklyn Park softball leagues are dual sanctioned with USSSA. Brooklyn Park plays its league according to USSSA rules. All bats and balls are required to follow USSSA parameters.

All league games are played at our award-winning Noble Sports Park which features, 310 foot fenced, lighted fields, covered dugouts, restrooms, ample parking, and easy access to 610 that can bring you to 94, 100, and 169 within minutes.

Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather and/or poor field conditions, the following procedures will take place:

  • The league director will determine if the games are to be played on that evening by 4:30 p.m.
  • The decision will be sent out via email to managers.
  • If inclement weather occurs after 4:30 p.m. staff will update teams as timely as possible. Please note that games could also be called at the softball fields.
