12-year-old Fayed Husain is a hockey player for the North Metro Youth Hockey Association. He has been a member for 6 years.
Fayed recently became a finalist for the Minnesota Wild’s essay contest. In his essay Fayed praised the association for their commitment to youth by teaching them the lifelong skills of teamwork and commitment. Fayed says he is proud to be a member of the North Metro Youth Hockey family and that the skills he and his teammates have learned have paid off! His team has won trophies in every tournament they have played in, including a district championship.
North Metro Youth Hockey Association serves boys and girls hockey in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Fridley and Columbia Heights. The Brooklyn Park Ice Arena is home to the association.
