Parking Vehicles and Equipment

Know the parking rules in Brooklyn Park to avoid violations or impounding.

On-street parking

From November 1 through March 31, vehicles may not be parked on the street from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.

The Snow Emergency Parking ordinance gives the city the authority to declare a snow emergency parking ban when snow, sleet, ice or snow drifts have created dangerous road and travel conditions.

When a snow emergency event is called, vehicles may not park on city streets until the full-width of the street has been plowed.

See snow removal policy >

Vehicles must also not be parked

  • For more than 24 hours on the street
  • Within 20 feet of a mailbox, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Within 10 feet of a fire hydrant
