With a distinguished career spanning 29 years in the fire service, Chief Shawn Conway brings a wealth of leadership and operational experience to his new role. His past leadership positions include serving as Fire Chief at Travis Air Force Base and Scott Air Force Base, as well as key roles within the St. Paul Fire Department and Maplewood Fire Department.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served for 22 years, Chief Conway also holds a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. Most recently, he served as Deputy Chief of Operations for Brooklyn Park, followed by his appointment to Interim Fire Chief before his appointment to Fire Chief.

Throughout his career, Chief Conway has consistently demonstrated a commitment to public safety, collaborative leadership, and forward-thinking innovation.
