On Thursday, December 3, the City of Brooklyn Park held it’s 9th annual Business Forward Forum. The event was held virtually for the first time. Here are the presentations and resources available to our local businesses:

Hear from city leaders on business and development updates and enjoy our keynote presentation from Hamse Warfa, Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Development at the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

We will have two breakout sessions to choose from following our keynote presentation with engaging topics to help you grow your business

Breakout sessions

Breakout 1: Credit repair/getting loan ready. Speakers include Christy Morrell-Stinson of Brooklyn MIX Collective and Quoc Vo of the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD).
Breakout 2: Talent development, recruitment, and retention. Speakers include Rich Wessels, Project Manager for the Youth Skills Training Program, and Dan Solomon, Minnesota Dual-Training Pipeline Consultant, both at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
