Public Works Director
Marc Culver
Marc Culver is a seasoned civil engineering professional with over 25 years of experience in the public sector. He was appointed as the Director of Public Works in August 2025.
Before stepping into his current role, Marc served as the Brooklyn Park City Engineer, where he oversaw critical infrastructure and development projects. His extensive career is marked by leadership roles including City of Roseville Public Works Director and Maple Grove Transportation Operations Engineer.
Marc is a recognized leader in the Minnesota engineering community. His contributions to the field include President of the City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) in 2017, member of the Metropolitan Area Water Supply Policy Advisory Committee (MAWSAC – appointed in 2025) and being awarded the Young Transportation Engineer of the Year in 2008 (North Central Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers).
A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Civil Engineering, Marc is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). He is known for his commitment to transparency and community-focused infrastructure. “By listening to our community and partnering with residents, businesses, and regional agencies, we can ensure our public works efforts truly reflect the needs and priorities of the diverse communities that call Brooklyn Park home.”
