Sunfish Pond

Father and son fish from the dock at Sunfish Pond

The City of Brooklyn Park created Sunfish Pond, a kids fishing pond at the Community Activity Center, to be an attractive amenity for youth and families to promote the lifelong sport of fishing.

Fishing hours

Fishing hours are spring to fall from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The pond is closed during the winter months (when the water is frozen).

Types of fish

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources stocks the pond with Bluegill sunfish.Hands holding a Bluegill sunfish
