The primary election will be Tuesday, August 14. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Polling place change for Precinct West-1R voters

Voters who live in Precinct West-1R will be voting at the First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Avenue North instead of Prairie Seeds Academy.

City Council candidates on the primary election ballot

The primary election determines which candidates will be on the ballot in the November general election.

The City Council candidates on the primary election ballot only include the seat for mayor. The candidates for mayor are Jeffrey Lunde, Benard Muko, Yelena Kurdyumova and Hollies Winston. The top two vote getters will then be on the general election ballot in November.

Because there are two or fewer candidates for the other council seats, they will go directly on the general election ballot, those include:

  • Council Member–West District: Bob Mata and Wynfred Russell
  • Council Member–Central District: Christian Eriksen and Tonja West-Hafner
  • Council Member–East District: Terry Parks and Marta Yakovleva
