Adopt a Hydrant

About the adopt a hydrant program

Winters are cold and snowy in Brooklyn Park. Firefighters need quick access to hydrants, which means they need to be clear of snow and ice. You can keep yourself, your house, and your neighbors safe by adopting a hydrant today.

Go for the gold, enter to win!

  1. Adopt a hydrant (if you already adopted a hydrant, skip this step).
  2. Dress up your hydrant. Winter clothes, funky costumes, anything. All decorations must be temporary.
  3. Post a photo on the adoption page. Get extra points for posting on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #WeAreBrooklynPark. Get extra points for having your neighbors in the picture.
