Summer Camp Leadership
Summer Camp 2019

Do you love camp and want to be a future camp leader? Spend the summer at Leader in Training Camp developing the leadership and teamwork skills necessary for becoming one of our camp staff. Leaders in Training (LITs) will participate in regular camp activities in addition to learning to plan and lead crafts, songs, and games for younger children. LITs will have the opportunity to volunteer at camp through the summer. Even though LITs work hard, we also have FUN! LIT’s will meet at Camp CAC each day.

Registration

Due to high demand, registration will happen via lottery drawing on Friday, February 18. It is free to sign up for the lottery beginning February 1, 2022. Fee assistance is available. Call 763-493-8333 to get on the list.

Dates, times and fee

Monday-Thursday, June 20 – August 11, 8-11:30 a.m., $375/$415

What happens after completion of Leader in Training (LIT) Camp?

After successfully completing LIT Camp, participants are eligible for a Junior Staff volunteer position. Junior Staff volunteer for up to 16 hours per week. Once our Junior Staff have completed 1-2 summers of volunteering or turn 15, they are eligible to apply for paid employment at Summer Camp.

What do Junior Staff do at camp?

Our Junior Staff help with day to day activities at camp. They get opportunities to lead and will continue to develop their leadership skills throughout the summer. Veteran camp staff serve as mentors for our Junior Staff and provide valuable feedback and support.
