DESCRIPTION:Twice a year we host a special drop-off for residents to bring in certain recyclable items that don’t go in your cart. This event is open to residents of Brooklyn Park\, Brooklyn Center\, Crystal and New Hope and is held at the Brooklyn Park Operations and Maintenance campus at 8300 Noble Avenue North. We will only take items on the Accepted list below. We will not take general garbage. \nThe next drop-off day is Saturday\, October 9\, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nVisit our Recycling Events page for more information. \nItems accepted for free \n\nBatteries (bring household and rechargeable batteries to the Hennepin County Drop-Off Facility at 8100 Jefferson Highway)\n\nAutomotive\n\n\nBicycles (for reuse or scrap)\nCardboard boxes (flatten and remove non-paper items)\nElectronics (see list for electronics that are accepted at a cost)\n\nCell phones\nDVD/MP3 players\nPrinters\nStereos/radios\nVCRs\nand more\n\n\nUsed oil\, oil filters and antifreeze (use the free drop-off on 83rd Ave. at other times)\nPallets\nPaper for shredding (shredding will be done on site)\nPaper\n\nCatalogs\nMagazines\nNewspapers\nUnwanted mail\n\n\nScrap metal (must remove all non-metal parts)\n\nAluminum window/door (no wood or glass)\nBBQ grills\nBed frames\nBrass\nLawnmowers (remove oil/gas)\nMetal bed springs\nShelving\nSteel\n\n\n\nItems accepted at a cost \nPay by cash or check made out to “City of Brooklyn Park” \n\n\n\n\nItem\nFee\n\n\nAppliances  \n\nAir conditioners\nDehumidifier\nDishwasher\nFreezer\nFurnace (residential)\nGarbage disposal\nOven\nMicrowave\nRefrigerator\nStove\nTrash compactor\nWasher/dryer\nWater heater\n\n\nWater softener\n\n\n$10 each\n\n\nElectronics  \n  \n\nComputers\nMonitors\nTVs\n\n\n$5 each.
