Program about the Holocaust and other genocides.
Minnesota is one of four states in the country that has designated April as “Genocide Awareness and Prevention Month.” Along with California, Texas, and New Hampshire, people in these states are urged to learn about genocides that have happened in the past, atrocities that are happening today, and steps to prevent violence.
Six genocides have their official dates of memorialization in April: the Holocaust, the genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, Darfur, and the genocide of the Armenians.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary.
