SUMMARY:Cities United Community Video Chat
DESCRIPTION:Cities United’s goal is to continue providing a virtual space for youth to receive inspiration\, structure and critical information about available resources during a time of uncertainty. We will continue using weekly ZOOM chats to deliver these services. \nTo help recruit and inspire youth to participate we are planning to leverage relationships with volunteers\, locally prominent leaders and professional athletes. The Cities United/BBBS partnership is currently exploring the possibility of inviting Minnesota Timberwolves players to make guest appearances on the ZOOM chat. Guest appearance will largely be question and answer based. We will compile questions focusing on: \n\nGuests experiences (challenges and successes)  \nStrategies for setting goals and staying motivated to achieve goals\nStrategies guests are currently using to keep their bodies and minds engaged (possible demonstration of a strategy)\n\nDuring the Q&A youth will have the opportunity to submit their own questions via chat. Once they’ve submitted the question\, they will be given the mic (unmuted) to ask their question in person. Youth questions will be mixed in with staff generated questions. \nWe are interested in keeping youth engaged and excited to have these opportunities during the current crisis and beyond. Our goal is to keep youth motivated\, engaged and hopeful over the next 4 months. \nSessions will be offered May\, June\, July and August. The ZOOM chat\, also known as\, the Cities United Community Video Chat has a standing date and time of Wednesday at 3 PM.
