DESCRIPTION:The next Citizens Academy starts Tuesday\, February 4\, 2020 and runs for 10 consecutive weeks from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Community Activity Center. \nWhat is the Citizens Academy?\nGet a behind-the-scenes look and understanding of how your police department works. Citizens Academy is a way to teach and show everyday folks how the Brooklyn Park Police Department works on a daily basis. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion.\n \nThe program is FREE and open to people who reside\, work or go to school in Brooklyn Park. Participants must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check. \nWhen is it? \nEvery Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m.  for 10 weeks starting Feb. 4\, 2020. Paper BINGO cards will be distributed at the parking lot\, bring your own marker\, dauber or pen\, and turn on your FM dial! \nAll events will follow current Stay Safe MN and Minnesota Department of Health gathering guidance. Please respect social distancing of at least 6 feet between family groups. Within the phase 3 guidelines we can allow for 250 people to attend each event. Masks are strongly recommended.
