Join us for an author talk and discussion with Shannon Gibney! Her recent book Dream Country is the heartbreaking story of five generations of young people from a single Liberian-and-African American family pursuing an elusive dream of freedom.
Partners are the African Women Professional Development and Career Advancement Network and the Brooklyn Park Library.
Light dinner starts at 5:45 p.m. All are welcome. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate.

The purpose of these monthly Brooklyn Park Community Assemblies is to give residents a safe and constructive space to lead discussions about what they care about, and then work together with the City to co-create and accomplish goals that will move us all towards our shared Brooklyn Park 2025 community goals.
