Patia Thao

Recreation Supervisor

Patia Thao joined the Brooklyn Park Recreation and Park team as Recreation Supervisor with a background in Human Services and youth enrichment programming. Prior to joining us, she worked in the YMCA’s Youth and Family Services with youth and families throughout Anoka, Hennepin and Ramsey Counties at risk or experiencing homelessness.

Driven by the desire to help youth achieve their greatest potential, Patia looks forward to creating enjoyable opportunities that will empower young people to learn, lead and persevere. In her new role, she will support our recreation programs to be inclusive and reflective of the city’s values. Patia will continue to be a resource and role model within the community, providing our future leaders the tools to become successful adults in the 21st Century.
