Brooklyn Park passed a resolution supporting our Asian American and Pacific Islander community members. The resolution was passed during the April 12, 2021 City Council meeting. We will not tolerate, and we condemn, all forms of hate and violence against any person in our community. The City Council is committed to establishing and maintaining a culture of trust and open communication between residents, city officials and staff to strengthen our community partnerships.

8th Annual Community Forum on Race
Please join us on Thursday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. for the 8th annual Community Forum on Race. This year will be a virtual event, with the theme of being a fair witness of pain to hold space for healing, can be accessed through Zoom.
Community members will get the opportunity to participate in facilitated group conversations and listen to a keynote speaker Dr. Aja King, a Counseling Psychologist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor as well as the Chairperson of Brooklyn Park Human Rights Commission.
