Many happy faces were seen roaming around Eidem Farm in Brooklyn Park on Saturday, May 22. That’s because it’s the first time the farm has been open since the COVID-19 pandemic began. “We couldn’t be more excited to open our gates,” said Eidem Farm Site Manager Eve Ericson.
Activities at Spring on the Farm included a house demonstration (knitting and cooking demonstrations), planting potatoes in the garden, farm equipment demonstration, planting green beans to take home and a Name the Poultry contest.
“Despite so many changes while having to operating within COVID guidelines, we are excited to be able to offer new programs,” Ericson said. New programming at Eidem Farm includes Art on the Farm and Garden with Eidem, both taking place this summer.
Photographers looking to bring clients or who need a fun place to take photos will also have an opportunity to do so at Eidem’s new Open Photo Shoot. “It’s a beautiful setting for family photos and I am looking forward to bringing my grandchildren here this summer to do just that,” said farm enthusiast Pat Milton.
There are many scheduled events taking place at Historic Eidem Farm throughout the summer and fall. To see a list of all events, please visit our website at www.historiceidemfarm.org.
