Shawn Conway, Fire Chief

Shawn Conway, Fire Chief

With an extensive career spanning 28 years in the fire service and a history of leadership roles, including being the Fire Chief at Travis Air Force Base and Scott Air Force Base, as well as serving at St. Paul Fire Department and Maplewood Fire Department, Chief Shawn Conway brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Notably, he is a veteran of the US Air Force, where he served for 22 years and holds a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. Having served as Brooklyn Park’s Deputy Chief of Operations for sixteen months and stepping into the role of Interim Fire Chief, Chief Conway has consistently demonstrated his dedication to safety, collaboration, and innovation.

Established in 1957, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that proudly serves the residents, businesses, and visitors of Brooklyn Park.

Calls for Service

All Brooklyn Park firefighters are certified Emergency Medical Technicians. We handle thousands of calls per year, including medical, rescue and fires.
