BrookLynk’s Career Pathways

Career Pathways provides skills training, employment services, and jobs & internships to individuals 16+ seeking to launch a career in technology or construction, two of the region’s top industries.

Career Pathways programs

Construction and Trades

This program provides training, employment, and support services to individuals looking to launch a career in the trades including public works, park maintenance, and heavy highway construction. Benefits: Obtain the certification needed to land a job in the construction industry.

UX (User Experience) Academy

UX Academy is a technology training program that provides training in process design. Participants learn the skills and experiences needed to build a portfolio and launch a career in the technology industry. Benefits: Free tuition, a weekly stipend, a laptop, and a paid internship.

Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP)

The YEP program introduces youth 14-24 to business and entrepreneurship and provides support to start their own business. Benefits: Participants learn from experienced business owners what it takes to launch a business and are matched to paid internships.

Additional services

Wrap around Services

Wrap-around support services are available for youth and young adults that are not currently enrolled in school. BrookLynk provides case management services to address barriers that may prevent someone from gaining or maintaining employment. To be eligible you must be 16-24 years old and live in Brooklyn Center or Brooklyn Park.

Community Partnership Programs

These are programs and services provided by local community-based organizations that are supported through the American Rescue Plan Act to serve the residents of Brooklyn Park.
