Adult Sports are open to men and women. We bring more options to you through our partnerships with the Recreation and Park Departments from Brooklyn Center, Crystal, Maple Grove and New Hope.
Pickleball will resume on Tuesday, January 19 at the Community Activity Center.
There will be a maximum of 20 people per session and three courts. Chairs will be appropriately spaced out for those not playing. Masks will be required at all times while in the facility and during play.
We will continue to monitor for new updates that may arise.

- Wearing a mask is required while in the building, including while playing.
- Must keep a minimum of 6 feet of distance between non-household members while in the building.
- Enter the building through door 23, which is the southeast door by the gym.
- There is NO parking in the circle, as it is for drop off and pickup only.
- There will be 3 courts available for play with a limit of 20 participants per session.
- The cost to play is $3 per session. This year it is required to purchase a coupon booklet of 10 tickets from the CAC front office.
- You will also be required to fill out a contact information form.
- We will be using SignupGenius to track the number of participants in each session. You must sign up in advance to play. You are only allowed to sign up one week at a time.
- Every person must sign up individually on SignupGenius. There will be no household sharing or swapping spots, as we do need be able to keep a true track of participants in the building.
- Time of play:
- Session 1: 8:00 – 10:00 am
- Session 2: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Competitive (except for Fridays)
- Session 1: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- You are only allowed to sign up for one session per day. Example: I signed up for session 1 on Tuesday; I then cannot sign up for session 2 of that same Tuesday.
- No one will be allowed in the gym between 10:10 am and 10:20 am or after 12:40 pm.
- Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the beginning of your session and please leave on time.
- Group play for Competitive: Monday and Wednesday during both sessions and Friday during session 2.
- Group play for Rec: Tuesday and Thursday during both sessions and Friday during session 1.

Outdoor Pickleball begins in April at Norwood and Bass Creek Parks.
Nets, balls and some paddles are available.

Summer team fees:
- Doubleheader leagues: $850 for 20 games
- Single Game leagues: $530 for 10 games
Fall team fees:
- Doubleheader leagues: $480 for 10 games
Teams must pay in full at the time of registration. No partial payments will be accepted.
Legal softballs: Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks will provide each team with a supply of game balls as part of the league registration fee. Teams will receive their softballs at the start of the season. Each team will be responsible to ensure games balls are provided for each game. Balls do not need to be new, but clearly defined as a legal ball. Legal balls must be optic yellow in color and follow the USSSA guidelines listed below for each gender.

Legal bats: Bats will be legal for USSSA sanctioned play only if the bat is manufactured by an approved USSSA bat manufacturer on the USSSA approved bat manufacturer list and has the new USSSA mark (thumb print). See below for what the USSSA mark looks like.

League Classifications and Sanctioning
Department classifies its leagues as Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
We continue to sanction teams with USSSA at A, B, C, D & E levels.
Intended for teams seeking a highly competitive softball experience who typically participate in tournaments.
Intended for recreational teams who desire a moderately competitive, softball experience.
Intended for teams seeking a fun and recreational softball experience with a low level of competition.
League sanctioning: All Brooklyn Park softball leagues are dual sanctioned with USSSA. Brooklyn Park plays its league according to USSSA rules. All bats and balls are required to follow USSSA parameters.

League Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy
Full refunds will be processed if the league your team is registered for is canceled by the Recreation and Parks department due to lack of teams.
Pro-rated refunds will be processed if scheduled games are canceled and make up dates are not available due to unavailable facilities.
Teams will receive a full refund less a $50 administrative fee if your team withdraws at least 3 weeks before the start of play.
Refunds will not be processed if your team withdraws less than 3 weeks before the start of play or if your team is removed from the league due to disciplinary action.
In the event of inclement weather, the following procedures will take place:
The league director will determine if the games are to be played on that evening and update the weather line by 4 p.m.
The decision will be recorded on the weather line at 763-493-8181 option 1.
If inclement weather occurs after 4 p.m. staff will update the weather line as timely as possible, but games could also be called at the fields.

Days and times
Adult open hockey sessions are scheduled on most Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at various times. Schedules will change from season to season. Current schedules are posted at the arena.

You are required to wear a hockey helmet, gloves and shin pads. Other equipment is optional.
The arena has basic hockey merchandise for sale such as tape and mouth guards.
Pay the office attendant one hour before scheduled ice time.

Signing up for open hockey
A maximum of 20 skaters and 4 goalies are accepted before each session. Spots are first-come, first-served. Sign-up sheets are placed out one hour before the start of the session at the office.
No checking hockey league
Elite Gold and Silver Divisions
No checking/no slap-shot hockey league. Up to 20 players per team. This is an officiated league with a 10-game regular season and a 2-game guarantee tournament.
Open to post-high-school adults 18 or older.
$1,335 per team
Summer league begins in April. Fall leagues begins in September. Winter league begins in January. Games are played Sunday through Thursday evenings.
Soccer league (BPAA Adult co-rec)
BPAA Adult Soccer is a soccer league for women and men age 18 and older (must be 18 by the first game).
Teams are formed by individuals that are interested in playing together. Teams should designate a captain who will be the contact to the league committee, and a team name along with uniform color. Teams may roster between 16 to 22 players. There must be a minimum of 6 individuals of each gender registered on each team.
May 15 to June 28. Games played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Games and format
Each team will have approximately 12 games. Games are two 35-minute halves with 11 versus 11 players.
Players must register individually for a team by their team captains last name until a team name is established (i.e. Team Smith). Individuals registering but not on a team may register for the player pool. Registering for the player pool does not guarantee a roster spot on a team.

We have two divisions of play: intermediate and advanced for both men’s and women’s singles.
Begins the week of June 12. Consists of a 8 to 10-match schedule. Men’s singles are Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m. Women’s singles are Tuesdays, 6 to 9 p.m. At the beginning of the season each player will receive a match schedule, which states when and where you will play.
Match dates and times may be rescheduled by calling your opponent to make alternate arrangements, and then booking a court with the city.
The league champion will receive a championship t-shirt at the conclusion of the season.
Leagues may play matches in any one of the participating cities depending on the community that is administering your particular league.

Adult tennis lessons
A skilled tennis instructor will teach rules, regulations, forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Play tennis, meet new people and stay active! All participates get a T-shirt.
For ages 14 and up.
Basic to intermediate.

Men’s Monday Night Basketball League
New Hope Parks and Recreation will offer an officiated men’s basketball league this fall and winter. The league will be classified Men’s Class C/D and the winner will receive a a paid berth to the state tournament. For more info, call 763-531-5151.

When teams are looking for additional players this list is made available to them to help fill out their teams. You may also use this list to coordinate your own team.
