On July 31st, 2010, Brooklyn Park Fire Department hosted a dinner and silent auction benefit
to assist two Brooklyn Park Fire Department Firefighters
who are battling cancer and severe financial hardship.
Wow!
That is the word that best describes Saturday night's benefit dinner. We served over 560 people, had over 200 auction items and the event could not have gone better. While the effort to put this event together was important, it wouldn't have meant anything without the support of many, many other people. If you provided an auction item, a dessert item, or attended the benefit itself, thank you to each of you who participated in some way. Your efforts and contributions of your time, talent and money wll have a material effect on the lives of our two Firefighters.
