Costumed volunteers will demonstrate drying apples, pressing cider, baking apple cakes and dumplings in the wood burning stove and making enough sauerkraut to last the winter. Join the fun of seeing a baseball game as it was in the 1860’s. Visitors can enjoy a hayride, pumping water from the well, visiting the farm’s livestock and touring the 10 acre 1900’s Victorian style Eidem Homestead. The historic Eidem Homestead located at 4345-101st Ave N, Brooklyn Park, is a preserved living record of farm life in Minnesota at the turn of the century and consists of a number of buildings; farmhouse, barn, outhouse, outbuildings, chicken coop and windmill with period farm equipment and cropland. The barn and barnyard harbor farm animals such as cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys and cats. Sunday, September 21, 2008, 1 - 4 p.m.
