This annual award recognizes the volunteer activity of a Brooklyn Park individual, organization or business that has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of understanding and cooperation among people of different backgrounds.
The Human Relations Commission evaluates nominations and announces the recipient at the annual Volunteer Recognition banquet in April. The 2007 recipient was the Joint Community Police Partnership. The recipient of the individual award was Brenda Reeves. The Award nominations are due by Friday, March 21, 2008.
