Emergency Management is a division of the Fire Department, with the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief holding the dual titles of Emergency Management Director and Emergency Management Deputy Director, respectively. Both are Certified Emergency Managers through the Department of Public Safety.
The Emergency Management Division maintains the Emergency Operations Center, and provides a Resource Listing and Personnel Directory to each department in the City to compliment their individual department plans as well as the overall Emergency Operations Plan. The Emergency Management Division also maintains the outdoor warning sirens.
Upon request, the Emergency Management Division will provide input to local schools and businesses in creating their own emergency operations plan.
