Reminder: The deadline to register your neighborhood party is Wednesday, July 28th at 5:00 p.m.
There are two dates left to pick up your bags: Tuesday, July 27th and Thursday, July 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Just stop by the police department lobby and we’ll have your bag ready for you.
In celebration of National Night Out, here are some City events planned for the weekend:
Saturday July 31st - Children's Penny Carnival, Dazzling Dave Yo Yo Show and Movie in the Park: The event starts at 7:00 p.m. with a penny carnival, so bring your rolls of pennies and come join the fun! At 7:30 p.m., Dazzling Dave, a national Yo Yo Master will be presenting a show. So, grab an early seat on the hill at Central Park and watch Dave dazzle the audience. At dusk, Kung Fu Panda will be shown on the large outdoor screen. Brooklyn Park Crime Prevention Association will be sponsoring a giant bouncy for the kids on this evening. There will also be a Brooklyn Park Fire Truck and Police Car at the park for residents to view. Concessional will be available at the event. This event wil be held at Central Park, which is located at 8440 Regent Ave. N.

BROOKLYN PARK EARNS FOURTH PLACE NATIONALLY
City’s National Night Out efforts again recognized by National Association Of Town Watch
The City of Brooklyn Park captured fourth place in the nation among cities in their population category and first place in the state of Minnesota.
Brooklyn Park’s success in the program resulted from the great participation of neighborhood block parties and several events leading up to National Night Out.
The Brooklyn Park Crime Prevention Unit documented the National Night Out events in both a video and book that was submitted with an application to the National Organization of Town Watch for consideration. The city has participated in the program since 1991 and has been recognized for their efforts each year.
