Business & Occupational Licenses

Welcome to the City of Brooklyn Park

In accordance with City of Brooklyn Park local ordinance, specific department requirements, and in some cases Minnesota State Statute, business licenses may be required for certain business uses, activities and/or operations.  To facilitate the issuance of required licenses and the City's license approval process as well as to provide a consistent level of customer service, submissions for business licenses must be complete at the time of application.  Document submissions and fees will vary depending on license type.  Please review the license application and provide all required information so that all City departments can complete their reviews and grant approval for your license.  Processing time will depend on the type of license and the completeness of the information submitted.  If you have questions or concerns at this stage of the process, please call or come in and we will be happy to meet with you to answer questions and assist you in completing the application process.
