With “Park” in our city name, the City of Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department takes seriously its commitment to afford its residents and visitors over 1,900 acres of parkland, 67 local park areas and hundreds of recreational program opportunities. Online Registration is now available for recreation activities from swimming lessons and sports leagues to youth and adult instructional programs, all promoted through our Brochure (you will need a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. Locate a park area or enjoy our trails by visiting and exploring the Parks, Trails and Maps link to the park system. Edinburgh USA Golf Course and the Brookland Executive Nine offer two opportunities to Golf in Brooklyn Park. The 150,000 sq. ft Community Activity Center is a hub of activities year round with its many meetings and conference rooms to host weddings and events, its two Ice Arenas that offer ice skating, hockey games, events and lessons and the Senior Center where active seniors find their connection to fun and one another. Visitors and program participants will also find the Zanewood Recreation Center another community activity hub for all ages.  History buffs can step back in time to the 1890's at the Eidem Homestead historical farm.  In addition to an award winning city park system, residents can enjoy nature and environmentally based programs and facilities provided by the Three Rivers Park District.
