Programs

Four main program areas have been developed to address community issues and deliver services in an efficient and customer-friendly manner.  These programs are integrated within the division, as well as interdepartmentally.  Information is gathered and analyzed as part of a performance management program in order to better gauge community and customer needs. 

Strategic planning and implementation enables the allocation of limited government resources to meet core services, as well as unexpected service demands (such as response to disasters).   Please see the following programs for more information:

• Business Maintenance Program
  • Information about zoning, conditional use permits, commercial property maintenance and regulations, and other business related topics 

• Environmental Health Program
  • Information about health inspections, licensed establishments (food, pools, lodging, refuse, and others), health and life safety concerns, housing, environmental issues, public health emergency preparedness, etc.

• Public Service Request Program
  • Information about reporting a property or concern

• Spruce Up the Park
  • Information about proactive neighborhood services and activities (education, home improvement resources, etc.), residential property maintenance and regulations
