Business Forward is a new community initiative that will involve a wide range of community partners that affect the business climate in Brooklyn Park. The goal is to produce tangible outcomes that will lead to an improved business climate in the community as well as enhance communication and collaboration between the business community and stakeholders.
Why should I participate?
In order to improve the business climate in Brooklyn Park, we need to know about the challenges businesses face. Business Forward represents an opportunity for the various stakeholder groups to collaboratively identify issues and bring them to the forefront. It is the goal of this initiative to turn the feedback into tangible positive change that will benefit people doing business in the community.
How do I participate?
Following the Kick-Off Event to introduce Business Forward, several focused community café discussions were held where smaller groups helped identify the various challenges our local businesses face. The feedback collected will serve as the basis for discussion among a smaller, dedicated task force who will meet in early 2012 to produce recommendations for change that will lead to an improved business climate. Information will be posted on the task force's work in early January.
