D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is the single most widely-used substance abuse prevention and safety program promotion

curriculum in the world. Brooklyn Park Officer Chuck Schuveiller works in sixth grade classrooms to present the 17-week D.A.R.E. program.
D.A.R.E. promotes healthy self-assertion, positive choices about risk-taking and health-related behaviors, and positive social skills. Over the years, the D.A.R.E. curriculum has evolved to include resistance to gang membership, violence, and destructive peer pressure, as well as substance abuse.
Many community organizations and businesses have helped to fund our local D.A.R.E. program. If you would like more information about Brooklyn Park's D.A.R.E. program, please contact Lieutenant Lee Folstad at 763-493-8172.
