Everyone is encouraged to attend as much training as possible to maintain and improve their knowledge and skill levels. Some training is mandatory, usually mandated by OSHA or the State of Minnesota.
The Brooklyn Park Fire Department also has a mentoring program for new recruits. Your station officers will meet with you at least monthly to review your new knowledge and skill levels, and assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have.
