Do you live north of State Highway 610? If so, later this year there will be a special day to get rid of such items as furniture, carpet, lumber, construction material, scrap metal and appliances as part of the 2008 Spruce Up the Park Curbside Clean Up.
All items must be at your curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the designated day. The trucks will come by only once so make sure you don't miss it! There are some limits to the number of some items we can take, and there are some things we can't pick-up. The clean up is funded through your regular recycling fees.
The City Council recently changed the City's bulky waste curbside clean up program from an every other year citywide collection to a collaborative clean up with the City's Spruce Up the Park (SUP) program. SUP is a program geared to engage residents participation in City's programs, revitalize neighborhoods and address code enforcement issues. Each year there will be bulky waste curbside collection in a different part of the city in conjunction with Spruce Up the Park.
