Bulky Waste Curbside Clean Up

Is it your turn?

Our next Spruce Up the Park bulky waste curbside clean up is scheduled for September, 2010 in the north central part of the city, north of 85th Ave N and south of 93rd Ave N.   Items such as furniture, carpet, lumber, construction material, scrap metal and appliances will be picked up.  Eligible participants will receive a reminder postcard in the mail.

All items must be at your curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the designated day.  The trucks will come by only once so make sure you don't miss it!  There are some limits to the number of some items we can take, and there are some things we can't pick-up.  The clean up is funded through your regular recycling fees.  For an idea of what is collected you can take a look at last year's program flyer. A new flyer for the 2010 collection will be available soon.

The City Council recently changed the City's bulky waste curbside clean up program from an every other year citywide collection to a collaborative clean up with the City's Spruce Up the Park (SUP) program.  SUP is a program geared to engage residents participation in City's programs, revitalize neighborhoods and address code enforcement issues.  Each year there will be bulky waste curbside collection in a different part of the city in conjunction with Spruce Up the Park.
