Northwest Community Revitalization Corporation

NCRC is a non-profit partner with the cities of Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, New Hope and Robbinsdale in addressing the growing challenge of workforce housing in the community.  NCRC was developed to sell or rent affordable housing in participation with cities to act as a stabilizing force in both the lives of the families involved and the community in which they live.

In order to qualify for ownership a buyer must meet program guidelines. One of the guidelines is that the total family gross income cannot exceed 80% of the median income. Buyers must also participate in a homeownership workshop that assists in preparing people for homeownership.

The Home Stretch - Home Buyers Workshop class schedule offered by Community Action Partnership for Suburban Hennepin (CAPSH) is your first step to qualifying for homeownership. To find out more or to register for one of the homeownership classes call CAPSH at 952-933-9639 extension 281.  You can also link to CAPSH's website.

If you have always wanted to buy a home and thought you wouldn’t qualify, this program may be for you. There may be a way to purchase a home with a “soft” second mortgage at 0% interest that will not need to be paid off until the property is sold, refinanced or ownership is transferred.

To find out more about homeownership, call Northwest Community Revitalization Corporation (NCRC) at 651-298-1903 right away. They may have a house waiting for you.
