Cool Pool Award

To be considered for an award, an establishment must meet the following criteria:

• No critical violations may have been found during any inspection, which would result in temporary closure. Critical violations are those violations which have a higher risk of causing illness, injury or death (i.e., inadequate disinfectant, lack of barriers, lack of lifesaving equipment, etc.)

• No more than three non-critical violations may have been found during any inspection. Non critical violations, if not maintained could result in health or safety issues.  These include maintenance records and minor repairs, per criteria derived from the MN State Swim Pool Code. 

• Successful ongoing completion of repairs or substantial upgrades to structure or facilities.
