Accessible Voting Machines

Each Polling place will have new voting equipment to assist voters with disabilities beginning with the 2006 Elections. It's called the AutoMark, and the equipment is a ballot marking machine. It's used with the vote tabulator.

Voters will be able to mark a ballot by using several methods, including a touch screen, braille pads, sip and puff connections, foot pedals and headphones. Once the ballot is marked, voters remove the ballot and insert it into the vote tabulator to cast their vote.

If you need further information on the AutoMARK, contact the city clerk's office at (763) 493-8180 or e-mail BPcityclerk@brooklynpark.org
