About Rec on the Gologo for Rec on the Go

Rec on the Go is coming to a location near you. Come join us for a fun-filled summer of free recreation activities. Look for the Rec on the Go vehicle at a location near you and get registered for fun.


We will have:

  • Sports
  • Arts and crafts
  • Group games
  • Special guests from Eidem Homestead and Three Rivers Park on the Go

New activities

New programs this year include:

  • Literacy
  • Science
  • Water Days
  • Teen locations

Meals or snacks

Meals or snacks are not available during the fall and winter, but are available during the summer at all locations. They are free for kids under 18 and just $3 for adults 18 and up.

Fall/winter programming

Fall/winter programming runs October 23 to December  14, 2017. There is no Rec on the Go on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31.

Cookies and Crafts

Rec on the Go in the winter? Why not?

Join us for a cookie decorating contest and enjoy some winter holiday art project with some of your friends from Rec on the Go.


Hamilton Park building, 6101 Candlewood Dr.

Get messy

Who says you have to wait all year to hand out with your Rec on the Go friends and staff? Join us for an afternoon full of messy fun that grownups don't want you to do at home. Slime, action art and foam will be the focus of this messy time.


Zanewood Recreation Center, 7100 Zane Ave. N.

Open art studio

Families come join Rec on the Go art specialists for an hour of art fun. Each participant will get their own canvas and choose one of 3 specially-designed projects just for you. Art specialists will lead you step-by-step to make a masterpiece creation to bring home something you and your family will be proud of.


For kids ages 5 and up. Parents can bring younger siblings if they assist.

Free, but you must register. Canvas is available for $5 each or paper will be the standard.
