Last August, the Brooklyn Park Human Rights Commission held an art contest to solicit artwork from the community for a sign that would illustrate that all are welcome here in our great city. On Monday, December 11 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers (5200 85th Ave N), the official sign will be unveiled and all the contestants will be recognized.
The contest was a way to bring people together in response to community concerns related to federal immigration policies and as a way to promote the city's key goal of being a united and welcoming community strengthened by our diversity.
Come to get your own sign, meet the artists, and celebrate this exciting effort!
