Should Brooklyn Park change it's parking rule?

For years Brooklyn Park has had a parking rule of no parking between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. from October 15 through April 15 for snow removal purposes during the winter season. In recent years some neighbors, particularly in apartments, need more parking spaces and rely on on-street parking. They have had to endure the costs of parking tickets. But some residents support the current winter parking rule.

Council members will consider changing the current overnight parking rule at the September 25 City Council meeting (open to the public) and want the community’s input! The Council has three possibilities it’s considering: keeping the parking rule as is, expanding it to year round or shortening it.
