How Raising Wages Benefits Workers 

Rena Wong will address how the coming minimum wage increase to $15 will benefit workers in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. She will explain how better wages reached through union negotiations help union workers as well as non-union workers in nearby areas. 

The Relationship between Wages and Affordable Housing

Nelima Sitati Munene, Executive Director of the African Career, Education, and Resource Center will speak about equitable housing.

How Transit Impacts Employment

Transit for Livable Communities will lead the talk and a question and answer session will follow.
