ribbon for autism awareness

Community Activity Center
5600 85th Ave N
Brooklyn Park, MN , 55443

763-493-8333

Meet and greet police officers, share information and find resources.

Brooklyn Park kids and adults who have autism, caregivers and family members are invited to this open house.

You can help police officers understand the needs of people with autism. You will meet and greet local police officers and gain an unique perspective on how the Brooklyn Park Police Department is learning to interact with people who have autism.

We encourage two-way sharing of information so we can help to keep those with autism safer in the community.

We will provide educational resources from organizations around the metro area that assist people with autism.

Come be part of this fun and informative event!

One in fifty children between the ages of 6 and 17 has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), March 2013 report.  Autism affects communication, behavior and social interaction.
