About the Trunk Highway 252 Corridor Study

The project partners are jointly developing concepts to convert Highway 252 between 66th Avenue North in Brooklyn Center and Highway 610 in Brooklyn Park to a freeway.

The study consists of

  • Looking at traffic flows and the crash history in the area
  • Estimating future traffic flows and looking at options to improve safety and circulation
  • Developing options for interchanges, overpasses or closures to replace signalized intersections
  • Developing conceptual designs and recommendation one option for further study
  • Seeking feedback from residents, business owners and commuters
  • Identifying how to fund the improvements
