Fix-It Clinic

12:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Community Activity Center
5600 85th Ave. N.
Brooklyn Park, MN , 55443

Have a clock that ticks but won’t tock? Don’t trash it, fix it.

Toaster won't toast? Lamp won't light?

At Hennepin County Fix-It Clinics, residents bring in small household appliances, clothing, electronics, mobile devices and more. With free guided assistance from volunteers, you can disassemble, troubleshoot and fix your item.

Fix-It Clinics teach valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills, build community connections and reduce the amount of stuff that gets thrown in the trash.

What to bring

Bring any tools and supplies you think might be helpful for your item. You must be able to carry items in - no oversized items.

The following are some examples of things that have been repaired at other fix-it events:

  • Bike light

No registration is required.

Volunteers wanted

If you can troubleshoot repairs for broken items, consider volunteering at a Fix-It Clinic. Volunteer fixers who have skills in computer, electronics, electrical or mechanical repairs, sewing, soldering, wood working and general tinkering are essential to making the clinics successful.
